Scott E. Bettencourt, Esq.

Scott has over 17 years experience advising clients in the area of employment, municipal labor, and commercial real estate law.  Prior to starting his practice in 2005, Scott was a partner at Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane, a leading Massachusetts law firm.  Scott also spent many years at Perkins, Smith & Cohen (now Burns & Levinson, LLP).


Scott graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School where he served on the Law Review and the Tax Moot Court Team.  He received his undergraduate degree from American University in Washington, DC.


Scott lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts with his wife and four kids.  He is actively involved in the youth sports programs and recently retired as President of Duxbury Pop Warner football.  He enjoys building and home improvement projects, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family on the sidelines of football, lacrosse and basketball games.

Lisa C. Bettencourt, Esq.

Lisa has spent her career advising small business and individual clients in the areas of tax, business, and estate planning.  She began her career at Ernst & Young, LLP in Boston, a leading advisory, assurance and tax services firm.  She left E&Y to pursue an independent consulting practice, and formally joined Bettencourt Law Group in 2009.


Lisa graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School where she served on the Tax Moot Court Team.  She received her B.S. degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Vermont.  Prior to attending law school, Lisa worked as a financial analyst at a large asset management firm in Boston.


Lisa lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts with her husband and four kids.  She enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, biking, hiking, and the more “domestic” tasks of gardening, cooking and reading.
